YouthCaN Report from Uruchje, Belarus: Lost Nature?
Uruchje - is one of the most industrialized parts of the Minsk. Here you’ll see lots of different auto-salons, schools, universities. Here’s also one of the biggest airports.
The most popular radiostation “Alpha-Radio” is here. Especially this radiostation made Uruchje one of the most popular regions in Minsk.

You’ll find here the arterial road Minsk-Moscow - that’s why all the streets here’re full of cars and buses.

Nevertheless, the neighborhood is also a big area for living. So, Belarusians used to say, that “Uruchje” - is like a big “bedroom”.
Buildings are standing really close to each other. You can even get lost among them, because they’re looking the same.
When the new day begins, people are going to their works to all different parts of Minsk. When you’re standing on the top somewhere all this action looks like attack of ants. And it is really interesting to be there in the middle of the day, because you won’t see many people or probably 10-12.
But that all aspects do not make this neighborhood really clean and beautiful. I mean there is not any nature. The perfect way for this area is to safe the nature. A children playgrounds look very poor. I’m not saying that hole this territory is dirty. I mean if you’ll walk around you won’t see any garden or park or just something like 10 trees together. Here you won’t hear the singing of birds or voices of other animals (like dogs :) Maybe that’s also because of the noise of the cars? But i really don’t think so..

And of course people agree, that ecology problem is really important for their area. But nobody did anything to make it better.

OR
We can imagine that somebody will create a park. That would be a miracle. How do you think, how long it would stay alive? It won't take long, I suppose.. So here’s another problem: people do not see need of the nature. And nobody tells them about it.

However, life’s go on. And everyday problems with its’ routine of work makes people forget about everything I wrote you. As I understood from talking with people (I knew it before), their main aim is to fight for the money. Probably, that is also makes Uruchje one of the most expensive parts if the city.. But actually, I’m not sure here... J
