The Kherad High School is located in the city of Tehran, Iran. They joined the YouthCaN Hike the World project in September 2003.

I want to describe my wonderful high school Kherad. Kherad is a private high school. It is located in northern part of Tehran. In a private high school you have to pay a tuition fee, and also to enter you need to pass an entrance exam. So, this summer, I was lucky to enter this high school, because it is one of the best in Tehran (for girls). Schools for girls and boys are separate. Kherad high school was founded in the year 1999, on 1000 square meters of land. Apart from the classrooms, there are several facilities such as:

  • One sufficient library
  • One Physics laboratory
  • One laboratory for Biology and Chemistry
  • One dinning room
  • One praying room
  • One computer room
  • One room that have audio video system for different purposes.
In Iran normally, you need to study 3 years in high school to be qualified for a Diploma. But to enter to university, every body needs to study one more year in a special collage.

After the first year of high school, based on your grades, you need to choose your subject of study, either you take math or science, literature, and so on. Here we have only math and science subjects. Classes start at 7:30 AM each day and finish at 3:00 PM and we have 3 break times. The longest one is the last one which is for eating lunch and prying. I think that is all I can write for you.
  With best wishes
