YouthCaN Iran is having its FIRST YouthCaN conference this year!
The host school was Farzanegan Zeinab High school
Hello everyone,
On March 14th the first YouthCaN conference in Iran was held. The conference attracted over 350 students, teachers, students’ parents, experts on environmental issues and so on. Participants who were from Tehran, Rey, Rasht and Isfahan find the YouthCaNers activities so interesting and beneficial. Here is the list of presentations:

6. Presenting Solar Powered Machine Made by YouthCaners (5 solar
ovens, a machine for Distilling Water and a machine for drying
fruits)

8. Sustainable Development
9. The Importance of Protecting the Environment
10. Garbage Issues
11. Recycling School Wet Rubbish to make Compost
12. Global Warming
13. Paper Recycling
14. The Earth, One Home and Common Responsibility
15. Migration of Birds from Tehran Because of Air Pollution
16. Wind Power
Our School YothCaN team gave 6 presentations (you can guess which ones) and YouthCaners from Gilan gave 2 ones. The rest was presented by students and teachers from other schools.
In addition to these presentations we had a question-and-answer session.

The conference was really great. I participated with 3 of my students from Rasht (Guilan YouthCaN- North of Iran) My 3 students presented an article called: "The Earth: A Home and a mutual Responsibility"
My article, which I submitted with a high school student from Tehran was called: "Wind Energy: The clean Energy for Environment and Economy"
I think dear Farzanegan High School YouthCaNers will share the photos on their school web site and/or YouthCaN forum. Meanwhile I will try to translate some parts of our articles in English and share it with others in the YouthCaN forum.
