Set-up Day:
We will be spending the afternoon of Sunday, April 25th setting up the workshop spaces and the Hall of Ocean Life. Starting at 5:00 PM with a video conference from Australia at 7:00 PM.

The Big Conference Day
Monday, April 26, 2004
9:00 - 10:00 - REGISTRATION
School groups will register. Opportunity to view exhibits of student environmental projects.

10:00 - 10:30 - OPENING CEREMONY
YouthCaN students will introduce the day, the theme and express their concerns about protecting the environment. There will be a keynote presentation and speeches by youth.

10:40 - 11:25 - WORKSHOP SESSION ONE

11:35 - 12:20 - WORKSHOP SESSION TWO

12:30 - 1:15 - WORKSHOP SESSION THREE

Each student can register for TWO workshop sessions, and will have one 'open' session. Students may participate in a third workshop during their open session, if space permits. We encourage students to spend time during their open session in the viewing informative displays of important environmental organizations and student projects, and exploring and participating in special internet, video-conferencing and educational activities.

1:25 - 1:45 - CLOSING CEREMONY
YouthCaN will conclude the formal program of events with a special activity back in the Hall of Ocean Life.

1:45... - The Museum is yours to explore!

Lunch
There is no scheduled lunch break. Lunch room space at the Museum is very limited so we are unable to provide formal eating space. You may bring bagged lunches to the Museum, and there is the possibility of eating outside during your open workshop session, weather permitting. But we think you would find your YouthCaN experience more complete if you can eat before 9:45 and/or after 1:45.
